AMY NEWS: an update

amy just called me. it is a good thing i slept so much yesterday- that way i was awake when she called.

while she still has not come right out and said it yet, i know she feels the same for me as i do for her. i can feel it in my bones. i know it with my entire being. it is the way she talks to me. the way she goes out of her way to talk to me on my birthday... it is the little things, you know?

when we were saying goodbye, she said: "well, darlin', i have to get ready to go to work, i just wanted to call and say happy birthday."
i said, "well, it was good talking to you, thank you so much for calling me."
she said, "i love you"
i said, "i love you too"
she said, "i miss you"
i said , "i miss you too"

the sound in her voice when she told me she missed me... sadness... that is what really makes me realize she feels the same...
so i have not missed out on what is perhaps my best chance at happiness.
this is the best birthday present i could have ever gotten. just knowing.
